Beautiful location but no drinking water to fill motorhome. Told at reception the only drinking water was in the toilets

After reading the reviews we had high hopes for this stop. When we arrived the staff we very friendly and helpful and handed us the connector we needed for the electric. We chose our own pitch under the trees which is a mixture of sand and gravel.
The site was tidy and the toilets and showers were spotless.
The walks along the lakes and the woods are lovely. The pool was closed but that was excepted at this time of year.
When we enquired about the opening times for the bar and restaurant we were told that they don’t open until the weekend and the little shop doesn’t open at all which didn’t reflect the description on the website. Luckily we had food with us but just a warning to others thinking of coming here. The nearest places to eat are only about 15-20 minutes away by car but as we had already set up we chose to cook. There is also no drinking water on site so make sure you have plenty.
The area is beautiful and this experience wouldn’t stop us coming here again but probably in the summer next time.

We\'re presently staying on the site. This is our third day and we\'ve just booked another three nights.
Having just had a chat to the lady in reception (her first year working here) and she tells them that the site has been updated.
The toilets are very clean - they are cleaned five times per day and we always seem to be dodging the cleaners when we use the facilities.
The lake is a delight - lovely for swimming and we\'ve been getting paddling our inflatable SUP. No fixed pitches so just find yourself a space between the pine trees. We\'re pitched very close to the lake.
Staff super friendly & helpful.
Only negative is lack of drinking water though I\'ve ignored advice and been drinking it anyway.
There\'s a bar/restaurant but we\'ve only sampled their coffee (very good). Swimming pool not yet open.
We plan to return.
